This is usually undertaken when there is clear and genuine calling from the heart. (Not as part of some social affectation).
Something similar happened in the recent trip to Shirdi, when the calling came. I was in Shirdi with a couple of students. I simply asked them if they would join me on a padyatra if i were to undertake it. To my surprise there was an emphatic resounding YES ! There and then we planned to start the padyatra to Shirdi from 16th June 2025, onwards.
It was the first time that it took me 9 days to reach Shirdi. But what a beautiful journey indeed.
Of course, the for this to happen, we had to do a recce to Shirdi twice. To make arrangements for the day halt for rest and the night stay. We had a target of completing a walk of minimum 25kms a day.
Once the stay arrangements were made, we had to organise for the cook, tempo services to carry the yatri’s luggage, groceries to feed us all along the way. The entire planning was so much fun, with an elated anticipation of something greater waiting to unfold.
Sharing with you all the pictures of the Yatra. That would speak louder than words i guess.
