A Guru is not a person you follow blindly, but a mirror who helps you see your true nature. The real Guru removes ignorance (avidya) and leads you from darkness to light — from dependence to inner freedom. As Kabir says, “Guru Govind dono khade…” — the Guru holds a sacred place even above God.
